Speaking presentations by three individuals with more than 60 years of combined experience since The Ark Assessment Center and Emergency Shelter for Youth’s first board of directors was installed will take center stage on Thursday, September 19, 2019 at the Richard M. Borchard Regional Fairgrounds, 1213 Terry Shamsie Boulevard, in Robstown.
The featured speakers will be Delma Trejo, who has been the nonprofit 501(c)(3) agency’s only executive director/administrator; Rene Esquivel, an original board member and its longtime chairman; and Sister Milagros Tormo, M.J.M.J., board president. Trejo will reflect on the previous 19 galas, Esquivel will address the community’s contributions, and Sister Milagros will make other pertinent points. Attendees will be able to ask questions of the speakers.
KIII TV-3 News Anchor Joe Gazin will be the master of ceremonies at the 20th annual gala, which begins at 6 p.m. and includes a performance by Ballet Folklorico Viva Mexico, dinner, and silent and live auctions.
